Susan McConnell

Title: President of McConnell & Associates, Inc.

Experience: I started my career in 1975 as a CSR for Personal and Commercial Lines for McConnell Insurance, owned by my husband Don McConnell. I joined an Independent Agency in Cranberry in 1986, as a Life and Health CSR and Sales Representative. I founded Susan McConnell and Associates, Inc. in 1992, and opened my own shop in New Castle offering all lines of coverage to clients throughout the tri state area.

Family: Husband, Don McConnell; Daughter, Amy McConnell; Grand-Dog, Brandy; Grandson, Lucas

Designations/Achievements: I hold licenses to sell Personal, Commercial and Life, Health and Accident coverages, but, specialize in Life, Health and Group Insurance. Insurance is not only my career, it has been my life’s mission. I can honestly say today, I enjoy my job because of the competent support staff we are fortunate to have working for us. Insurance is challenging because the market is constantly changing. Being able to access multiple carriers gives us the edge so we can be a one stop shop for our loyal clients. But, I am who I am because my husband is my best friend and God gave us our daughter, Amy, and my grandson, Lucas. I have always told folks, “Being a mother was the best job I ever held. And, to be complete, I want to be a grandmother.” In May, my prayers were answered when Lucas was born. GRANDMA has become the best title I’ve ever carried.

Special Interests: Favorite Charities: “Angels of Easter Seals” and “Relay for Life” fundraising. “Making life better for those less fortunate has been a personal goal of mine.”
