Title:  Receptionist

Experience:  I began working at M&M Insurance Group in March 2006 doing clerical work.  I was then the receptionist from June 2006 - September 2006.  Next, I worked in the Life, Health and Group Department helping with their transition to become paperless.  In August 2007, I moved back to the receptionist position.

Family:  I live with my parents, Frank & Lori Baker and I have a younger brother, Michael.

What I Enjoy Most About My Job:  I love to send birthday cards to clients, scan documents for my coworkers, and help out with anything that anyone needs me to do.

Special Interests:  I am involved with M&M Insurance Group's Relay for Life Team.  I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.  I like to go to my brother's games.  My free time is also spent watching Penn State and Pirate games with my boyfriend of over 5 years, Matthew Piatek and keeping the book for his softball team.                                                                    

 


Typical Day of Work?  Answering the phones, scanning changes/documents into the computer for a clients folder, taking payments, sorting the mail, handing out paperwork to clients if they come in and need them to sign the papers for the changes, write birthday cards to clients every week and I do anything else that anyone asks me to do in the office.
     
Best-selling insurance product that you talk to most people about & why?  Life Insurance.  People don't think about the after life and how much a funeral may cost them until something terrible happens to a loved one and then they realize that they need life insurance.  It is best to get it when you are young because then your rates are much lower than when you are older.  We always try to tell people that it is good to have life insurance because they do not want to leave a loved one in debt.
   
What product should most people have, but most don't?  Life Insurance, no one likes to think about death.

What books are you reading right now?  I am not reading any books at this time.

What would people be surprised to know about you?  I am a Penn State Football fan!
     
What do you do when you're not selling insurance?  I do a lot of things for my family.  My mom and I take my grandma shopping every Sunday so that she can get out of the house.  I go to my brother's games/whatever sport he may be playing at the time.  I love to watch Penn State Football and the Pittsburgh Steelers.  I love to shop!  I try to go whenever I have the free time.

What one word describes you?  Considerate

Who is your role model and what have you learned from him/her?  My mom, because she does so much for our family.
